How we compare

How we compare

Two kinds of vendor already serve this sector, and we now overlap with both. Here is the honest map, including the places each of them is genuinely ahead of us.

Platform vendors

The membership and management products already installed in this sector. Greek life: GreekBill, Billhighway, ChapterSpot, OmegaFi, Greek Capital Management, Dueflow, GreekTrack. Faith communities: Planning Center, Breeze, Tithe.ly, Realm, Pushpay, Subsplash, ShulCloud. Nonprofits: Blackbaud, Bloomerang, DonorPerfect, Little Green Light, Neon One. Associations: Wild Apricot, Glue Up, MemberClicks, Novi AMS, Fonteva.

What they do well

They sell software: websites, member and donor records, dues and invoicing, payment processing, event registration. Mature products with large installed bases and real depth in this sector — several have been at it for decades, and the best of them know a chapter treasurer's job better than a generalist ever will.

Where the gap is

Two gaps. First, they sell you a system and leave the operating of it to a staff of two and a rotating cast of volunteers — when the bookkeeping falls behind or the laptops stop getting patched, the platform is not the thing that helps. Second, and more fundamentally, there is no meaningful AI in what they deliver. The software records what you type and reports it back to you.

This is where we compete directly. We sell the same operational stack, plus AI enablement, plus the people to run it. But if your current platform works and you only need the people half, we will operate inside GreekBill, Planning Center, Blackbaud, or whatever you already own rather than push a migration you do not need.

Local IT shops and fractional bookkeepers

The one-person MSP, the contract bookkeeper, the board member's relative.

What they do well

They do the work, often very well, at a scale that fits a small organization — and they can drive to your building.

Where the gap is

Capacity is a single person. Coverage ends when they are on holiday or ill, and there is no path to more capacity when you grow. Nothing is instrumented, so quality is a matter of trust rather than evidence, and they have no platform to sell you.

This is who we most often replace, and usually because the organization outgrew one person rather than because that person was bad at the job.

Row by row

Three of these rows go against us. A comparison table where the author wins every line is marketing, not information.

How an engagement starts

  1. 1A two-week assessment of what you run, who does what, and where the hours actually go — priced fixed, and yours to keep whether or not you continue.
  2. 2We can start inside your existing systems. Nothing here requires a migration on day one, and we will tell you when one is not worth doing.
  3. 3Scope, response targets, and pricing in writing before anything is instrumented.
  4. 4Everyone under instrumentation is notified in writing first. No exceptions, including at your request.
  5. 5Thirty-day termination for convenience. A firm that needs a long lock-in has told you something.
